Dear Venomland Members and Friends, Venomland is a little more than 6 years old now and by far the biggest Hot Snake community on the Planet! We want to thank all of you who made Venomland the leading Board. We are also very thankful to our Moderators and Admins for years of hard work. Now, it is time to move on. I have been thinking how to proceed and what to do with our beloved board as we reach a size, that we need to make drastic changes to secure the future of our community. As of now, Venomland is hosted by a free (well mostly free) hosting service. That was good for the first years but now we need to find a new way to run our forum. I have spend hundreds of Dollars over the years to keep Venomland up and running, and i have done so with pleasure. Now, we need your help! We need to come up with several thousand dollars for our Venomland 2.0 project, which i frankly cant pay for any longer by myself. So Venomland is asking his Friends and Members for the first time for their financial Support. Please help to keep Venomland alive, and let us move on to a new, better Portal in the Future! Every Dollar is helping us a great deal. I know, its hard times for everyone, but please spare a few Dollar for our community. If you have only 10 Dollars to spare, we are grateful, if it is more, it would be awesome. We are planning to develop a very new Venomland, with real community functions, a forum like you are already loving it and a real (online) Hot Snake Magazin. Also, there will be download areas for scientific papers, Wallpapers and more. Again folks, we can only do that if you all help. Please send me a Private Message if you want to keep Venomland alive, i will provide you with the details on how to donate Money. For now, we can accept money from creditcards via skrill (please google it, its a free service - account-details will be forwarded to you) and paypal. All the best, and for a (hopefully) nice future of our Board. Mario

Some new updates.
In the future it will not be allowed to sell venomous snakes in Hamm and there will be no room for hot snakes Crying or Very sad No

Now we can see what will happen in the next months/years for people who keeps venomous snakes. In a land (NRW) where it is allowed to keep hot snakes...on the biggest show...it is forbidden to sell hot snakes confused

Some facts to this news.
There will be no venomous room in hamm until there are new laws that make it controlable which people are allowed to get in this room.
For example only people with a kind of keeping licence called "Sachkundenachweis".
But noone knows how this rules can look like.

Why did this happened?
There was an idiot on the march show that sold an venomous snake to a kid. And to this case there should be an proven statement of a witness.
So the organizer of the hamm show could only react this way.

Here in Germany we are in danger to get a complete forbade to keep venomous snake and if you here such news - the people that wants to forbid keeping hot snakes are right.

well - nice done Germany!

i have no problem with government policies - but the situation in germany is getting out of your hands guys.
and its not only taking affect on the hot-community. thats only the beginning, all the other exotic animals will follow.

that somebody sold a venomous snake to a under aged is not nice, but what does it have to do with the hot room?

how about somebody kills other while driving drunk with his car, did the government will ban all cars from been sold in germany? of corse not...

the guys from hamm are not interested anyway, why should he be? the most folks goes there for bearded dragons and corn snakes anyway.. he will not loose anything - so i dont think he cares...

i am happy, i am not in europe anymore..

Cheers

well, another example of nice, well done information from RTL.
the Movie claims the Guy was buying a western Diamond Back Rattlesnake but he did not know the snake was venomous. after so many weeks, he tock a bite and was surprised. also the nice Lady from the animal welfare group is very professional and all here statements was showing the audience how bad the reptile lovers in hamm really are.

scene of crime: Terrariastika in Hamm

i will give no further comment, coz this is just disgusting. i am very surprised, that the administrators from the expo in hamm giving up and let this folks, who seems to hate everybody who loves exotic animals, win.

pure germany! misinformation and lobbyism is now on the winning site and rule the country.

RTL - you rock!

cheers

That's complete crap what they are talking about there.

"That are snakes and no rabbitts what you can touch always without stressing them!!"

What is she talking about?
a rabbitt can't be stressed too?

Hello Benjamin,

we have here some corrupt idiots with political power. The boss of this organisation is on the run with money of this animal wellfare org and is now living in Thailand. The problem is that this guys will be heard in TV, Press and what is the baddest by the politics. They falsify stats for e.g. that in germany should be 700 accidents with venomous snakes a year and so on. And the politics in hessen believed that and they had forbidden to keep dangerous animals.
That is our main problem. We have no F****** lobby here.

If I would be at your place, your dad would get some croc food from me. Laughing
